Elections for the New Committee of Community Pharmacy Norfolk & Suffolk

In 2023 Norfolk Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC) and Suffolk LPC committees agreed overwhelmingly to merge, with a new Committee taking office from 1st April 2024.

The new combined body will be known as Community Pharmacy Norfolk & Suffolk, and will be the organisation that represents the general body of pharmacy contractors at a local level, as recognised by the local NHS across these areas and made up of 12 committee members.

The term of office of the members of the currently separate Norfolk LPC and Suffolk LPC Committees expires on 31st March 2024. We are now seeking nominations for the independent pharmacy contractor places on the new merged Committee.

On the 3rd January 2024 all Independent Contractors were sent details to their NHS premises accounts on the election process and the nomination form for the new merged committee.

There are 6 Independent places available.

Other places on the LPC are filled by nominations from the Company Chemists’ Association (CCA) and Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies (AIMp) and consequently neither candidates nor nominators may be representatives of member companies of the CCA or AIMp.

If you are an Independent Contractor and would like to put forward a nomination to be part of the new committee, please complete and return the nomination form to Tony Dean, Returning Officer by 12 noon on 31st January 2024 at the following email address: tonydean@norfolkpharmacies.co.uk or post to:
